What Exactly CRACK THE CODE is?

This event is bacially about your programming skills in computer language C or C++( function oriented programming).

which will be conducted in several rounds as mentioned in discription.

Discription About The Event:

Round 1:

• You will be provided with 1 question paper of Multiple Choice Questions(MCQs).
• Certain time will be alloted depending on number of questions and it's level of difficulty.
• Certain number of high scoring students ( depending on total no. of participants) will be selected for further round.

Round 2:

• In this round each participant will be alloted a PC with Program in TURBO C having Errors.
• The errors will be logical so you may not detect them always on compiling.
• Eg: In a program of Matrix Multiplicatin you will be able to compile without error but the result will be wrong for any sets of input which you are supposed to rectify. So you are supposed to correct them with in a given time!!!

Round 3:

• This will be the Last round and the test of your actual prgramming skill.
• In this round you will be provided with a OUTPUT of programm & you are supposed to write a program for displaying that output.
• Eg. (Simple 1. In actual case may or may not be...)

• You will be judged on basis of your correctness in programm in case you are unable to complete it in time.
• The 1 who wil clear all rounds satisfactoryly will be considered as a WINNER!!!

What is HYPERMANDI??

Hypermandi is basically a competition where you can test your speaking skills and your ability to make someone think as you think.

How it might be related to our technical festival??

Whenever a company or an individual creates or engineers a product then it is necessary in this materialistic world that it should sell.If it doesnt then it remains in a corner waiting for someone to pay a bit attention to it.So it is necessary to publicise a product and hypermandi would give you a chance to test the seller within you.

In this, you'll be given a product and you will be tested on your ability to sell it. It could be anything ranging from a small teeny weeny needle to the biggy wiggy moon. You must be able to convince the person that he or she could own it and its you who's gonna make it possible.

So what are you waiting for, go ahead and test yourself!!

What 'Technical Paper Presentation' means?

Just having knowledge doesn’t help much in today’s corporate world. One must know how to put forward his/her thoughts effectively. Most of us have stage fear and in spite of having good knowledge about a subject, we often can’t express it.

Here, at HYPERCUBE we will provide you a platform to build up your confidence.

About The Event:

• In this event one has to choose a technical subject which can be a research or review paper.
• One must be thorough with the topic that they have chosen.
• Contestants will first explain their topic with VISUAL AID; say a POWER POINT PRESENTATION followed by a QUESTION ROUND FROM JURY & AUDIENCE.

The Basis On Which You Will Be Judged!! :

Contestants will be judged on the basis of their:

• Confidence level
• How well they explain their Topic.
• The quality of text in the submitted HARD COPY.
• How well they can ANSWER THE QUESTIONS asked by the JURY and AUDIENCE.

Introduction:

What is a line follower?

Line follower is a machine that can follow a path. The path can be visible like a black line on a white surface (or vice-versa) or it can be invisible like a magnetic field.

Why build a line follower?
Sensing a line and maneuvering the robot to stay on course, while constantly correcting wrong moves using feedback mechanism forms a simple yet effective closed loop system. As a programmer you get an opportunity to ‘teach’ the robot how to follow the line thus giving it a human-like property of responding to stimuli. Practical applications of a line follower : Automated cars running on roads with embedded magnets; guidance system for industrial robots moving on shop floor etc.

Prerequisites:
Knowledge of basic digital and analog electronics. (A course on Digital Design and Electronic Devices & Circuits would be helpful) C Programming Sheer interest, an innovative brain and perseverance

The AVR microcontroller:
"Atmel' s AVR® microcontrollers have a RISC core running single cycle instructions and a well-defined I/O structure that limits the need for external components. Internal oscillators, timers, UART, SPI, pull-up resistors, pulse width modulation, ADC, analog comparator and watch-dog timers are some of the features you will find in AVR devices.

AVR instructions are tuned to decrease the size of the program whether the code is written in C or Assembly. With on-chip in-system programmable Flash and EEPROM, the AVR is a perfect choice in order to optimize cost and get product to the market.
