Hi Folks,
IEEE, This is the only active organization in KGCE. IEEE provides you a platform to express your self in front of a crowd, implement your ideas, handling responsibilities given to you and many more…..
I remember when I was in first year, our seniors had come for canvassing. I want to give special thanks to Raghu…this is a guy who forced me to join IEEE. It was one of the best decisions I could have taken in my engg course. I strongly urge my juniors to join IEEE and feel the experience. By reading the blog you will get to know the importance of IEEE.
Talking about the fest…Hyper Cube ….may it be 2006 or 2008 I had a very good experience organizing the event. You will learn the art of “smart working”. You get to impress your professors which will help you to get good score in your term work. We had strength of around 50 members at the end of our tenure which proved to be the highest count in the history of IEEE in karjat.
I hope or shall I say I am confident that IEEE in karjat will have many more success in the future. ALL the BEST for the upcoming events and techfest.
Feel free to contact me any time. It will be my pleasure to help you. May it be with your final year projects or robotics.

Hi friends,
Just came across this nice blog that speaks about IEEE-KGCE and thought of sharing my views and experience about IEEE as well.
I joined IEEE when I was in SE, that too just coz a friend forced me to do so…. a week later attended the 1st meeting of the branch and I was stunned to see the professionalism those guys had in managing the things…the exp was just like a small company, they had a Chairman, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and different committees everyone with a specific role, That day I said to myself, this is something that won’t be covered in the course of Engineering and decided to dedicate some of my time to the branch….and thanked the friend who forced me to join IEEE….
In the later years, we organized Industrial Visits to Aurangabad, Bangalore, we even got a chance to visit ISRO (during Bangalore IV) and were quiet lucky to get a view of the INSAT 3B satellite and meet the team that was working on the project, the satellite was launched after some months …in parallel with this we started a technical festival called HYPERCUBE, which KGCE had never experienced before…..I still remember the ROBOTICS Competition which we started and the whole KGCE applauded for our efforts…the competition even inspired some of the students to participate in INTER-COLLEGIATE competitions at IIT Level, and a group even represented our college for the giant ROBOCON Competition organized by MIT Pune…
Why to join IEEE???? What are the benefits??? The most usual questions that comes to your mind…By reading my exp you would know the kind of exposure an IEEE member will get during his years of engineering (it is definitely something different than just skillfully copying assignments which an engineer would normally do in the 4 yearsJ)
Ok…what when you’re BE and go out to find a job….
As a fresh graduate you would only have your percentage on your side…but let me tell you, if you had been an IEEE member and was active in those years…you would be the first choice of the employer, as they could see some management and organizational skills in your CV….to be specific this happened in my case
Thanks to all who are associated with the branch and all the best for future endeavors!!!
Feel free to contact me for any kind of help...
